CGSD is home to a thriving community of students, faculty, independent scholars and activists interested in the creative process by which humans collaborate to provide individual and collective security--social, cultural, economic and political.

At CGSD we also believe in putting ideas into action. With partners from around the world we engage in practical initiatives to construct and deepen democratic and security-producing arrangements on the local and global level, and to create the open, democratic Internet information and networking infrastructure required for global collaboration.
