ICEP Resources
The world is awash in American service learning materials. What is hard
to find—because it is scattered and often not in English—is the
innovative material being produced in Eastern and Central Europe , in
the CIS, in Asia , Africa and the Middle East . What is also missing is
the practical stuff—model agreements that other universities have used
with their NGO partners, sample projects students can do, advice about
organizing a civic engagement office.
Resources is ICEP’s
open library of such materials developed by partners from Estonia to
South Africa . Feel free to borrow anything useful, please just have
the courtesy to give credit to the author.
And please help our library grow. Contribute
your syllabi, training manuals, forms and other program documents,
community partner orientation packets, faculty development programs,
motions put to your university senate to institute a civic engagement
program, curricular materials from your faculty, descriptions of
special majors (for example, NGO management), etc.—no matter what
language they are in!
When you contribute, please include
contact information for you and your institution including email, and
the essential line: Copyright [your name] 200X at the bottom of the
first page. |
